Memphis native, Crystal Harris, is ANCC board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2006) and Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (2013) from Union University. Additionally, she holds a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Massachusetts at Boston (2018). Prior to pursuing her passion for nursing, she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems and worked briefly in corporate America working in Information Technology. Currently she is pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice.

Throughout her nursing career, she has worked in various medical settings including emergency, community health, cardiology, and completing health risk assessments for various insurance companies which has allowed her to gain a diverse range of experience to provide comprehensive care to the patients she serves. She is highly motivated to provide patients with focused, effective, and individualized mental healthcare while building and maintaining collaborative interdisciplinary relationships with administrators, coworkers, and patients. Her knowledge and experience have equipped her with the ability to multi-task and problem solve while focusing on holistic healing and providing optimal quality care to patients. She desires to be a positive change in the lives of many, while helping support those with mental health and emotional issues within all settings.

In her spare time, she enjoys working out, binge watching TV shows with her hubby, and spending time with her friend groups and family while enjoying a nice dinner, playing games, or just having open discussions about life.

Crystal is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau.
