About Lauren Doran

Pre-Doctoral Psychologist

Lauren Doran is pursuing to become a license clinical psychologist completing her doctorate at Walden University in Clinical Psychology specializing in Forensic Psychology. She holds an M.S. in psychology from the University of Phoenix. She completed her predoctoral practicum and internship with Athena Care.

Mrs. Doran conducts individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological testing. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and demographics who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, social skills, and impulse control. She has co-facilitated group therapy in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- Insomnia (CBT-I), Depression and Anxiety with Pregnancy/Postpartum Therapy, Parents of ADHD Children, and Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOP).

She is a veteran and a spouse to an active-duty service member. She is familiar with challenges and transitions within the military lifestyle including active duty, veterans, military spouse, deployments, Permanent Change of Station (PCS), Expiring Term of Service (ETS), etc.

Lauren’s passion is helping patients understand their past experiences, attachments, patterns, and behaviors that affect their present daily life struggles and health. Mrs. Doran uses the Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, and Play Therapy.

In her free time, Mrs. Doran enjoys leisurely bike riding, hiking, camping, and being a tourist with her family.
