Psychiatric Medication Management for Teens, Adolescents and Adults
Medication management is an essential part of making sure your psychiatric medications work together safely and effectively. Your journey begins with a thorough medical history and testing to ensure you are prescribed the appropriate medication. Spravato (Esketamine) Treatment in Knoxville, TN
Spravato is a ketamine-based nasal spray that rapidly improves symptoms of major depression and suicidal behavior in adults. Unlike most antidepressants, Spravato operates on glutamate, which is a chemical messenger in your brain that performs a significant role in managing the way you respond to experiences1. Spravato is approved for adults who suffer from treatment-resistant depression or depression with suicidal thoughts or behavior. If you’ve tried two antidepressants from different classes and still feel depressed, you might have treatment-resistant depression. Spravato is covered by most insurance plans when certain criteria are met.
TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Therapy
TMS is a drug free, pain-free treatment that alleviates symptoms of depression or OCD quickly and effectively. While you relax in a chair, an electromagnetic coil will rest on your head and transmit electromagnetic pulses to the specific parts of your brain involved in depression or OCD. TMS is FDA-cleared to treat depression and OCD and has been shown to significantly improve symptoms of depression and OCD2, even in people who’ve tried multiple antidepressant medications to no avail. TMS has minimal side effects and is covered by many insurance plans when certain criteria are met.

Athena Care Knoxville, Tennessee Reviews and Ratings
Our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible and effective mental health care to people in Tennessee. We are proud to report that Athena Care Knoxville is a top-rated mental health clinic with a user rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 stars. Here are some recent reviews of our Knoxville clinic:
Having just moved to Tennessee from New York, I was really dreading having to start over with a new doctor. After months of discouragement caused by mental health providers either not accepting any insurance, not returning my calls, not accepting new patients or having to wait months for an appointment, Athena was a breath of fresh air. My call was answered promptly by a representative that was kind and informative and she was able to schedule an appointment for me the following week!”
LP, 5 stars
I had a great experience with Athena Care, and specifically with Arthur Hatton. My consultation was detailed and thorough, as was the final report that was completed. I felt very comfortable throughout the process that sufficient time and care was spent getting to know me and assessing me accurately. The appointments were easy to schedule and communication was more than adequate. I would highly recommend Arthur Hatton and Athena Care!”
