Juan Trevino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a seasoned leader in therapeutic interventions and clinical program management. His career is marked by a passion for enhancing mental health services.
As the IOP/PHP Director at Athena Care, Juan oversees PHP/IOP groups, manages census oversight and referral flow, and leads a team of clinicians delivering individual and group therapy. He works with both children and adults in one-on-one and group settings, providing evidence-based care to those he serves. His expertise in clinical quality management and program development ensures that clients receive the highest standard of care.
Before joining Athena Care, Juan served as the National Clinical Director at Daybreak Health, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the clinical team and expanding program offerings beyond 1:1 therapy. He also has experience developing training models, CEUs, and webinars to support parents and staff working with students.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Juan is dedicated to ongoing education and mentorship. He has provided clinical supervision to team members working toward licensure and has developed and led Social Emotional Learning programs through the MTSS model.
Juan earned his Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. With a warm and holistic approach to both life and mental health care, Juan Trevino brings extensive experience and compassion to the clients and communities he serves.
